Viansa Winery Wedding, Sonoma, CA.

Viansa Winery is the quintessential Northern California Winery Wedding Venue. Located in Sonoma, California, Viansa sits on the hilltop surrounded by luscious vineyards and a wetland preserve. K and J wanted an intimate outdoor winery wedding in the outer Bay Area, and boy did they choose the perfect spot! With most of their guests coming from the East Coast, Canada, and overseas, they wanted to give their guests a taste of the beautiful destination wedding Northern California landscape. As an Indian bride, K wanted to incorporate Indian wedding traditions with western wedding traditions. Viansa Winery was the perfect venue for this hybrid Indian wedding!

K and J met in New York, where he is originally from, and over a few years went from neighbors, dog friends, to husband and wife! Their sweet lab Storm was in attendance at the wedding, and was the best ring bearer. The couple wanted to incorporate both western and eastern traditions in their ceremony, with J waiting to see K for the first time as she walked down the aisle, and a varmala ceremony with the parents and bride and groom. The bride had a fun and colorful mehmdi ceremony the day before, and as is traditionally done for wedding henna, had John’s name “hidden” in her henna. She wanted to put it on her left palm, to be closer to her heart. I just love, love!

I loved photographing the beautiful flowers, reception decor, and surrounding winery scenery. The guests had an awesome time on the dance floor, I just love how these shutter drag flash reception photos turned out!! You know it’s a party when everyone is dancing. K+ J wanted to end their night with a fun champagne spray photo which was soooooo fun to photograph!!!
