HOW IT WORKS
FAQS
FAQS
-
My goal as a wedding photographer is to capture vibrant, honest, and timeless images of your big day. I love mixing portraits of the couple, fun group photos, and in-the-moment candid shots. I recreate the experience of your wedding through photojournalism for you to relive and revisit time and time again. When you book with me, I am fully committed to you.
-
On average, I provide 75-100 photos per hour shot. After the wedding I take the time to edit, polish, and retouch your images so they’re ready to be printed, posted on social media, and sent to grandma and grandpa to go on their refrigerator! I love recommending print shops that make it easy to print your photos. This lab uses wonderful products to achieve archival quality.
-
My turnaround time for you to receive the final gallery of your photos is 6-10 weeks after your wedding. I know, I know, “6 to 10 weeks, that’s a long time!” I hear you. That’s why I send you a big sneak peek 1 week after your wedding.

Coverage hours will depend on the size of your wedding and the location. I recommend 6 hours for intimate weddings in one location with 80 guests or less. 8-10+ hours for weddings in multiple locations with 80+ guests. Every wedding is so different and unique, and has their own timing needs.
-
After the wedding, I curate your photo gallery by selecting each image and working through my editorial process.
-I back up your photos on several hard drives to ensure nothing is lost.
-First I remove images that don’t help tell your story. (Such as photos with closed eyes, awkward facial expressions, etc.)
-Next, I color-correct and tone the images to my editing style. I love incorporating vibrant, true-to-color editing.
-Then I’ll organize your images into chronological order. From there, they’re separated into “chapters” for easy viewing, such as Getting Ready and Ceremony.

I use top-of-the-line Canon equipment. 2 R6 camera bodies, 24-70 mm lens, 70-200 mm lens, 50mm lens, 85mm lens, 35mm lens, and Godox on and off camera lighting equipment. I use a vast array of lenses, depending on what I’m photographing. And yes, I also have liability insurance! If your venue or wedding planner needs a copy, let me know!

Yes! My 8 and 10 hour wedding collections include myself and a second photographer (shooter). The second shooters are all professionals whom I’ve worked with before. They also have a similar shooting style to mine so we keep your photos consistent. The benefit of working with a second shooter is that we can cover a lot of ground and capture moments happening simultaneously. You can rest assured nothing will be missed on your big day! Second photographers are available as an add on to 6 hour wedding packages, or smaller custom wedding packages. It is a great way to have more photography coverage. For example- If I am taking family photos during cocktail hour, the second photographer can be actively photographing the cocktail hour so there are no missed shots!

I lean into a photojournalistic style of photography. Meaning I use photos to tell an honest, authentic story. All the sweet smiles, ugly cries, heartfelt speeches—I capture them all. I believe in honoring the most intimate and raw moments we experience with one another, and I hope it shows in my photos.

“Jeanie photographed our wedding in Berkeley at Cragmont Park as well as our indoor reception. We just couldn't have asked for a better experience. Jeanie is AMAZING!!! She takes the most beautiful photos! She really has a way of capturing the moment. With the help of her assistant photographer, she was able to get our huge family all in one picture, as well as take so many wonderful candids of our special day. We also did an engagement session with Jeanie before the wedding. She had some really great ideas for the setting and made us feel so comfortable (even though we tend to feel awkward in front of a camera). We are so blessed to have found Jeanie and to have so many beautiful photos of this time in our lives! If you are looking for someone who is just a delight to work with, as well as extremely talented, Jeanie is the one!”

SAN FRANCISCO
Getting Married at City Hall?
“I needed a photographer last minute for a surprise proposal the day before my now-fiancée and I were moving out of San Francisco. Jeanie really came through! My surprise plan was a massive success. She knew San Francisco very well and we are extremely satisfied with our photos taken in two of our favorite SF spots. She helped us relax and pose naturally, and we got our high-quality edited photos very soon. I would highly recommend Jeanie to anyone who wants to take beautiful photos in the bay area.”
